Hundreds of people celebrated the groundbreaking of Terra Lago, a new community coming to the Villages of Indiantown, a hidden gem on Florida’s Treasure Coast. State leaders and local dignitaries were on hand today to ‘move dirt’ and share in the excitement of this new 800-acre community being constructed in western Martin County.

Last fall we brought on a new member to our dedicated team. His name was “Garcia,” and he was a furry pup sponsored through Topaz Assistance Dogs. Over the course of six months, he received exceptional training provided by Marge, the wife of Russ Merle, Vice President of Construction.

Josh Kellam, President of The Garcia Companies, recently joined Stephen Ross, Chairman and Founder of The Related Companies, a global real estate development firm and Owner of the NFL Miami Dolphins, at the annual meeting of The Florida Council of 100. The two exchanged thoughts around the significance of creating affordable housing and the roles both public and private sectors play in establishing healthy communities for our workforce.

In June, The Garcia Companies Vice President, Adam Carroll, attended the 66th Home Builders Association of Virginia annual conference where industry titans came together to dissect the ever-changing landscape of building trends amidst the dynamic shifts in market conditions.

We want to give a big “Cowboy Nod” to the 76th annual Indiantown Rodeo, which took place October 20-21, 2023 at Timer Powers Park in the Indiantown, Florida. Terra Lago, The Garcia Companies newest community development, was the lead sponsor for the 3rd year in a row and what a year it was! While plans for this exciting new neighborhood are well underway, it is important that we share the local love and support with the residents of this special community.

Once again, the team in Virginia Beach put smiles on the faces of the folks in Aragona Village by providing school supplies to support students (elementary to high school) in the community.

It was Team Garcia’s 8th year participating was a founder sponsor and team. Funds raised directly support rare cancer research by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center.

Terra Lago has been approved for Phase 1B of its newly planned, multigenerational neighborhood located in the heart of the Village of Indiantown. This completes the Phase 1 approvals for the 800+ acre master-planned mixed-use development.

The Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida raised over $1.2 million for wildlife conservation at its annual ‘Night for Nature’ gala held on Friday, March 31 in Jupiter, FL. The Garcia Companies was a major sponsor and its President, Josh Kellam, co-chaired the sold-out event.
